Persistent moderate rain for all of daylight hours Tuesday - heavy for a time around 0930z and between 1130z and 1400z (max rate 50 mm/hr around 1355z) - becoming slight around 1630z and petering out by 1800z. A few slight/mod rain showers during the first half of the night, with frequent moderate to heavy showers between 0230z and 0630z. The odd slight rain shower since then, but dry during the past hour - and the next batch is visible to the west (post ob note: brief moderate to heavy shower of rain and small hail at 0920z). Mostly cloudy, but there were some clearer periods 1830z to 2000z where some shallow fog and mist briefly formed. Winds generally F3 or less, southeasterly at first, falling calm for a time during the evening, then becoming southwesterly thereafter. Visibility moderate occasionally poor in precipitation, otherwise good or very good.
