After a windy night (maximum gust in Penzance 41mph) a dry, bright & breezy day yesterday. Some sunny spells near sea level, stayed generally cloudy over the moors. Maximum 12.5C, minimum 9.1C.
In Penzance there are 2 major occasions each year. Golowan (the summer solstice) is now rather spoilt by the shear number of visitors it attracts. Montol (the winter solstice) is a still a mainly local, rather pagan affair. Last night's cloud certainly made it mild. New Years Eve here is very quiet in comparison.
