Remarks
-------
Very mild but nowhere near as mild as Dec 2015. Also very dull but the
Decembers of 2011 and 2015 both had less sunshine. Rainfall was
average. There was no falling sleet or snow, as also occurred in Dec
2016. The most notable event during the month was the moderate to heavy
freezing rain during the afternoon of the 15th. 12mm of rain fell with
the temperature between 0° and -1°. It was the most severe weather we
have had for a while.
