SYNOP: 42582 73205 10048 20030 40313 53005 81871 333 81820 86362= Cloudy since Monday afternoon. Rain and drizzle continued until around 1930z. Dry since. Cold front through at 2230z, shown by a veer of the surface wind to WNW'ly and a drop in temperature and dew point. Cloud layers started to thin during the past three hours, but there are still multiple thin medium cloud layers. SYNOP: 42582 73205 10078 20044 40312 58008 8387/ 333 81820 83630 86365= A cloudy day so far. Medium cloud thickened up mid morning and is now showing signs of dispersing from the north. Variable amounts of cumulus and stratocumulus underneath the medium cloud. Very good visibility. 1700z: 32005KT 30km 1SC025 (1AC150 2CI250) 6.0/2.6 QFF 1031.5 steady.
SYNOP: 42580 23205 10060 20026 40315 51008 81542 333 81625= Cloud began to break from the north or northwest during the course of the afternoon. A fair bit of altocumulus lenticularis for a while, with some very nice underlit clouds as the sun was setting (no camera to hand!). Small amounts of cloud left now, and the temperature is falling. Visibility very good, with a light northwesterly breeze.
