Tuesday's slight showers of rain and snow had ceased by 1700z, with skies clearing thereafter, leading to a very icy evening. Cloud increased after midnight, with a couple of slight showers of snow and snow pellets between 0100z and 0300z. Only small amounts of low cloud since, with thin layers of upper cloud. F2-3 northwesterly breeze fell calm or light/variable during the evening, but picking up slightly to a NW-N F2 on the arrival of the cloud after midnight and persisting now. Excellent visibility except during the snow showers. Hard frost this morning, with frozen ground and icy surfaces, and a covering of snow and snow pellets - more than 50% cover but not complete, and 1 cm in depth in places.

22/0900z to 23/0900z:
Max: 4.8 (1456z)
Min: -0.8 (2352z)
Rain: 1.0 mm
