Low pressure (1000mb) lies in the Bay of Biscay, with another low (1000mb) lying to the northeast of Scandinavia. Winds across the UK are light to moderate easterlies. Many parts will be mostly fine and dry, but with showers possible in the northeast and later in the south. Temperatures will be close to normal in many parts. Beyond this low pressure moves into Central Europe, pulling in colder northeasterly winds for a time bringinging colder conditions and some showers. Low pressure (1000mb) lies close to the northwest of Spain, with another low (1000mb) close to Northeast Scandinavia. Winds across the UK are mostly light to moderate east/northeasterlies. Many parts will be mainly dry and bright, with variable amounts of cloud and perhaps some showers in the northeast and later towards the south. 850hPa temperatures are range from -6C in the far north to +6C along the south coast of England. Forecast 2m temperatures range from +8C over the Scottish Highlands to +13C in the southwest. Beyond this low pressure to the south of the UK pulls in much colder northeasterly winds, before moving closer to the country, so generally turning more unsettled and on the cold side. Low pressure (1003mb) lies to the west of the Bay of Biscay in the Atlantic. The UK lies under moderate winds, mostly from a easterly direction. Most areas will be mostly dry and fine, but with cloudy spells at times and a few showers possible towards the northeast. Daytime temperatures will be close to normal in most areas. Summary: Low pressure looks set to pass to the south of the UK during the latter part of the weekend and early next week, pulling in colder northeasterly winds and some showers for a time. However, many parts of the UK will probably stay mainly dry and turn a bit colder. |
