Mean max 12.8C, mean min 4.5C, overall mean 8.7C Rain 48.3mm, 15.7mm on 3rd Sun 184.59hrs, 13.60hrs on 22nd 2nd large hail and thunder, snow later. 3rd 1cm snow 0900 GMT. 4th wet snow in showers. 19th - 22nd 48.07 hours of sunshine. 20th maximum temperature 23.7C, previous April high, since records began here in 2014, was 19.6C in 2015. Cold month to begin with, some snow 2nd - 4th. Warm 19th -22nd with prolonged sunshine. Overall rather warmer and sunnier than normal. Dominant wind direction SE'y.
