45 hours of sunshine at nearby Bosullow in the last 3 days. The 30 day running total set to hit 250 hours today. Given that the 1st half of June was rather dull, that figure is likely to rise further.
http://www.greatbosullow.net/GraphText2.png After a maximum of 22.2C yesterday, a minimum of 13.2C last night. It's an age since there was decent surf, however there may be something by Sunday/Monday now there a bit more activity in the North Atlantic, albeit a long way to the west. The wild Atlantic https://www.atlanticcottageholidays....m-sennen-cove/ No rain since 23rd June. Graham Penzance |

Graham Penzance Now (noon) just 23C in Penzance (onshore breeze), 26C inland @ Bosullow (warmest day of the year), 25C @ Lands End. Lands End airport (a very windswept part) 23C, same as Newquay airport. I often find Camborne inexplicably cool these days currently reporting 19C, well below anywhere else, and there's no cloud. I can only assume cool sea air must somehow be funnelling up the valley. This feed of air from the east or NE is making it very warm down here. Just got back from Sennen, where the wind was an alongshore NE F2-3 @ 10:00. Then a very gentle (kept falling calm) SW sea breeze, never more than a F2, just enough to lift the flags at times. It felt hot. As flat as Sennen ever gets, absolutely no sign of any swell. I see Sevenstones is 0.7' & 7secs, a wind ripple. Disaster on the surf board hire front! Another very warm day here tomorrow, and little sign of rain in the forecast. |
