Upper cloud on Thursday afternoon cleared away as fast as it invaded, leaving a sunny but cool evening. Cloud was increasing shortly before sunset to leave a mostly cloudy night. Slight rain from around 0545z which has been more or less continuous since then - apart from a dry spell 1045z-1130z which also saw the brief appearance of the sun. Visibility good or very good.. Surface wind initially westerly, backing between 2100z and midnight to southerly. F3 at first, becoming F2 or less overnight, then picking up to F3-4 since about 0800z.
