The warmest and wettest August since records began here (2014). Cool and
wet for the first two weeks. The second half of the the month saw winds
that were predominantly south westerly. Conditions became much drier as
we were now in the rain shadow of the hills to the SW. Some pleasantly
warm days from the 23rd to the 27th.

Thunder on 5th, 8th and 11th.The most days of thunder in August since
records began here in 2014.

25th-maximum temperature 25.4C and 13.82 h of sun. The warmest August

Not as warm and sunny as summer 2018 and not as wet as summer 2017. So
nothing exceptional although the 5 days with thunder recorded was just
the most for summer since records began in 2014.
