0700z: 25001KT 40km 2CI250 7.8/7.7 QFF 1035.3 rising.
SYNOP: 42982 22501 10078 20077 40353 52024 80001 333 82075= Thursday lunchtime's drizzle rapidly died away. Slight rain and drizzle 1740z-1815z, then slight rain and drizzle 1950z-2010z, briefly heavy (4 mm/hr) just after 2000z as the cold front passed. Cloudy at first Thursday afternoon, rapidly clearing to leave an afternoon of warm sunny periods, before clouding up again at the end of the afternoon, followed by a complete clearance on the cold front just after 2000z. A clear night followed, albeit with thin high cloud from time to time. Visibility generally very good or excellent, reducing to moderate or good in precipitation. Surface wind SW F4-5, veering W F4 by early evening, and then veering NW-NNW F3-4 behind the cold front, before becoming light and variable by midnight. Copious dew late in the night. Surface wind now a light northerly.
