Hi, everyone,
I see the BBC 5 day forecast web page is going for min -5C Tuesday and -7C Wednesday in the local area (Barnard Castle). Looks like the BBC is getting as carried away as some on this ng!! I'm pleased the COL meeting went well, btw (Julian's post). I hoped to make it but a family illness stopped me. Was there a decision on where it will be next year? Was York put forward or will it be another long trek for us simple northern folk? -- Ken Cook, Copley (5miles north of Barnard Castle), County Durham. 830ft http://mysite.freeserve.com/copley (MO climat. site updated before 10Z and 19Z daily) kencookATcopleydurham.freeserve.co.uk --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.528 / Virus Database: 324 - Release Date: 16/10/03 |

Hello Ken, Yes, York was discussed, along with North Devon (around Barometer World - Ian Currie has done some work on this and proposes a weekend event). I for one would be delighted to head north - or indeed west (preferably for a weekend, not a day), guess this may be in 2005. No final decisions, will be put to membership I believe. Julian. Hi, Julian and Will, Fingers crossed for York, then. Congratulations on the Weather appointment btw, Julian. Will, if we have lying snow this week, I'll post a pic of me eating my hat. If we get a screen min of -7C, I'll eat my socks as well ;0) ATB, -- Ken http://mysite.freeserve.com/copley kencookATcopleydurham.freeserve.co.uk --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
