Looking at:
http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/brack5.html I have noticed for some months now that the isotherms seem to be more 'flattened' across the North Atlantic than I can remember them. Almost following lines of latitude. My memory - though probably faulty was that there was a greater push of warmer NAD water up the coast of Norway than s currently showing up. That's not to say that the waters are colder, just that the circulation 'could' be different.. I am probably wrong - but if it were the case then I suppose it could lend credence to a slowing down of the 'conveyor'. Does anyone have some stored images from a couple of years ago to compare? Just a thought, James -- James Brown |
