Max temp was about 19c reached at lunchtime - turning cooler from early afternoon onwards as an ENE wind set in and freshened. Yet yesterday the Rostherne max was 26.2c - over 1c lower than Tideswell and similarly on Monday the max temp was a bit lower than in the Peak. Peter Nockles |

Such differences between the north & south coasts are not uncommon (there was a similar difference yesterday, and the other way around a few days back) but that doesn't stop the MetO giving Camborne reports as recent weather for Penzance. For a short while they said there were no comparable nearby stations, which was a better idea. You clearly survived the Sussex heat! Graham Penzance |
