It then became more showery with some cloud breaks developing. Currently, it's looking like we'll shortly be hit by another shower stream. There was a bit of blowing snow for a while this morning but there wasn't enough snow or wind for it to become a problem. There's also been some drifting but, again, there hasn't been enough snow or wind for this to become an issue. Out walking this afternoon the deepest drift that I saw was around 30-40 cm. Due to the drifting there's no 'level depth' to be found anywhere but my guess is that the amount of snow is equivalent to a level depth of around 5-6 cm. Max temp -0.4C and we managed to squeeze a total of 0.1 hours of sunshine out of the few glimpses of the sun that we had. The wind has been bitter all day. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |
