RMK: Although technically showers we have continuous snow,

developing as the wind freshens a bit. 6 cm lying snow,

'ice day' since -1.1C on 31st Jan 2019. We did have a calendar
ice day (00z-24z) on 25th Jan this year but that doesn't count
in the statistics.

1630z 06012g25kt 15km RE-SNSH 7Cu 010 -01.5/-03.4 1008
RMK: Continuous snow, mostly slight, till about 1100z. It then
became more showery with some cloud breaks developing.
Currently, it's looking like we'll shortly be hit by another shower
stream. There was a bit of blowing snow for a while this morning
but there wasn't enough snow or wind for it to become a problem.
There's also been some drifting but, again, there hasn't been
enough snow or wind for this to become an issue. Out walking
this afternoon the deepest drift that I saw was around 30-40 cm.
Due to the drifting there's no 'level depth' to be found
anywhere but my guess is that the amount of snow is
equivalent to a level depth of around 5-6 cm.
Max temp -0.4C and we managed to squeeze a total of 0.1 hours
of sunshine out of the few glimpses of the sun that we had. The
wind has been bitter all day.
