Default Penzance - Biting wind

Yesterday wasn't bad, only a moderate east wind, prolonged sunshine (7 hours at nearby Bosullow) and a maximum of 5.0C. Out of the wind & in the mid February sunshine it was OK.

Increasing wind overnight, minimum 0.9C. Biting F5-6 E wind now. Temperature fluctuating as the wind sucks in bits of sea air, and then comes more down the spine of Cornwall. Generally in the 2-3C range. Light showery rain has now turned more to snow pellets. Currently 3C at Culdrose with the wind off Falmouth Bay, 1C at Camborne, 2C at Lands End airport.

Scilly still 5C.

Milder here for the week end.

Definitely snow now. Nothing settling, except on things like the velux & the conservatory roof. Temperature down to 1.5C. Moderate precipitation.
