[OBS] Niton, Isle of Wight - Tue 9th Feb 2021
1200Z: 08025G36KT 10KM Slight shower of snow pellets 5CU018 7SC035
-0.2/-2.7 QFF 1004.8 rising slowly SYNOP: 11460 70825 11002 21027 40048 51004 6///1 78787 878// 45998 85818 87635 91036 90710 91137= Beaufort letters (1100-1200Z): cpho,cjp,cpho Cloudy with the odd glimpse of the sun. Snow observed at 0600Z. Since 0830Z, showers of snow pellets have raced through on an increasingly strong easterly breeze. The small pellets don't hang around, being swept into verges and gullies. There is, however, an overall thin covering of snow and snow pellets of about 40%. Very good visibility outside of the showers, lowering to 5000m at 1140Z in the most recent shower which is ongoing.
