Tideswell, Derbyshire Wednesday 7th April 2021
--------------------------------------------------------------------- 0530z 28001kt 50km 2Sc030 -02.9/-06.9 1022 RMK: A fine, clear, crisp, frosty morning. There's still some patchy lying snow but most of it melted before the frost set in yesterday evening. With a min temp of -5.8C last night seems to have been the coldest April night for a very long time. It is certainly the coldest in the series that I have generated back to 1991. The previous coldest was -4.9C on 7th Apr 2013. So, in the space of 8 days we have had the hottest March day for more than 30 years and the coldest April night for more than 30 years. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |
