RMK: A fine, clear,crisp, frosty morning. There's still some
patchy lying snow but most of it melted before the frost
set in yesterday evening. With a min temp of -5.8C last
night seems to have been the coldest April night for a very
long time. It is certainly the coldest in the series that I have
generated back to 1991. The previous coldest was -4.9C on
7th Apr 2013. So, in the space of 8 days we have had the
hottest March day for more than 30 years and the coldest
April night for more than 30 years.

RMK: A dry day. Sunny for a while during the morning. Cloud
slowly developed through the middle of the day and the
latter part of the afternoon has been cloudy. Excellent
visibility all day. Max temp 6.0C and we've had 6 hours of
sunshine. A cold breeze all day.
