Canadian – T+72 hours for FRIDAY:
All charts: http://weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/data/m...ast/478_50.gif
High pressure (1037mb) lies in the Atlantic to the west of the UK. Low
pressure lies to the northeast of the country over Scandinavia, with
another low (1012mb) to the west of Spain in the Atlantic. The UK lies
under light to moderate northerly winds. Most areas will see a mix of
sunshine and showers, wintry over the northern hills, with the driest
and sunniest weather in the south and west. Daytime temperatures will
be close to or just below normal in most areas - with night frosts.

Summary:
Apologies once again for the rather short summary tonight.
Once again the models are going for a change to somewhat milder
northwesterly winds moving in from the northwest over the weekend,
bring some rain or showers to the northwest, whilst the south remains
mostly settled under a ridge of high pressure. Temperatures will
gradually recover to near normal again with night frosts easing.

***Apologies, but I'm afraid there will be no 12Z Model Summary
tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd October 2003)***
