Everybody -

Logging on this evening I'm surprised nobody else has reported anything
(Nick / Ken)!

Peterlee: 1230z: rotating single cell throwing out lightning at around 1 /
minute clobbered Peterlee and took my place of work out after a C-G hit
Orange!

15 minutes of this event consisted of marble sized hail. Middlesbrough must
have got some of this...

Later: email I sent to my better half: on my way home I saw an anvil
crawler!

Peterlee: 1755z. At the time of writing this there is another misocyclone
(curved gust
front, inflow, beaver tail and rotation at the base) passing to the
southwest of Tyne House. The

direction of the rotating rain free base is from the SE with the rest of the

cloud travelling from the NE.

Observed for 10 minutes: apart from the miso no other lowerings were seen.

The Cb is most definately a single cell.

Estofex were showing "slight risk" of mini - supercell events.

Hi, Les,

Just got back from Scarborough. Thunderstorm Malton 1500Z with hail
,sleet and snow. I don't know what happened in Copley yet but it looks
as if the main action was to the east. Thunder also reported from
Darlington.

ATB,

Hi
There was a good thuderstorm in Scarborough at about 18.30 for about an
hour, lots of lightning folks and thunder but not alot of rain. There was a
quick shower of small hail and rain but that was it. Most of the lightning
was to the east just out to sea and some to the north.
