Default The fires In California

Yesterday's Terra/MODIS 18.35UTC image shows these fires clearly. This is
a cropped image of the main 250m resolution MODIS image:

http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/r...84000.250m.jpg

and the small image on my website is:

http://www.mtullett.plus.com/enhance...26-10-2003.jpg

which is about 300KB so would take just over a minute on a 56k modem

Newspapers please note - the copyright for this remains with the MODIS team
and "Image courtesy MODIS Rapid Response Project at NASA/GSFC"

Do not lift from my website and publish without reference to copyright as
you did last week!!

I have added a portion of the Aqua/MODIS pass at 20.55 UTC today and have
uploaded it to this page where yesterday's can be seen for comparison.
There are clear differences between the two images, but the disaster is as
bad as ever with the wind from the same direction. Again the resolution is
250m and file size around 400KB.
