Default Torrential rain forecast

GFS has been pretty consistent in forecasting a very wet Thursday for much
of central and southern Greece. I have personally never seen any ensemble
like the current one: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Athen_ens.gif .
It should be quite wet indeed at places favoured by orography, as wind
shear, če temperatures and other instability factors are forecast to be
favourable for some heavy stuff.
Meantime, temperatures have dropped since the NElies settled in. Afternoon
temperatures here on Monday +22C, Tuesday +13C.

Hello, Yannis

Maybe not as much as you expected (hoped for :-) ), but still quite a lot of
wet stuff given this chart:

Enjoy it :-).

The area that was affected most by the precipitation was further south than
primarily expected. Only 14.0 mm of rain in SE Athens, 20-26 mm at other
stations within the Athens basin. The airport of Kithira, between the
Peloponnese and Crete, reported 130 mm of rain in 3 hours.
Here's to another unseasonably mild spell.
