GFS has been pretty consistent in forecasting a very wet Thursday for much
of central and southern Greece. I have personally never seen any ensemble like the current one: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Athen_ens.gif . It should be quite wet indeed at places favoured by orography, as wind shear, če temperatures and other instability factors are forecast to be favourable for some heavy stuff. Meantime, temperatures have dropped since the NElies settled in. Afternoon temperatures here on Monday +22C, Tuesday +13C. Yannis, SE Athens +12.5C, RH 55%, SLP 1024.2 hPa http://www.e-kairos.gr/everyday/october03.html |

Hello, Yannis Maybe not as much as you expected (hoped for :-) ), but still quite a lot of wet stuff given this chart: http://forecast.uoa.gr/LINKS/SKIRON/zoomrain/024.gif Enjoy it :-). Wijke |

Only 14.0 mm of rain in SE Athens, 20-26 mm at other stations within the Athens basin. The airport of Kithira, between the Peloponnese and Crete, reported 130 mm of rain in 3 hours. Here's to another unseasonably mild spell. Yannis, SE Athens +16.8C, RH 92%, SLP 1007.3 hPa |
