Grrr... Nice and clear overhead - no sign of pretty lights. Cloud to the
north, aggravated by the ultra-powerful-light-pollution-generating
floodlights of the sports centre (which I thought was the lights at
first!)

Then we're on the south side of a hill with woods to the north and no
car to go exploring

Oh, and I can't see anything out of my north-facing window owing to the
ruddy great big tree growing outside.

Default Essex Aurora pic

My annoyance is these security lights that keep going on and off every time
someone walks up the road.

Hopefully it clears up when people start going to bed and there is less
lights!
