Now higher than Heathrow's temp. of yesterday
Currently +18.7°C. No other nearby stations are nearly as high, though I notice RAF Kinloss is reporting 19°C. With a gentle southerly here I can only presume it's rare local fohn effect from the Southern uplands. RH 50% Alex. "Alex Stephens Jnr" wrote in message ... I bet your record isn't as long as Stornoway though (142 years), which has just reported a new November record maximum for the station, of 15.4 degrees C (BBC News 24). It's still early afternoon, so perhaps this will be broken again in the next few hours... It's a paltry 13 degrees down here on the South Coast at the moment, albeit very nice out in the sun. -- Dave Fareham |

RH 50% Indeed, the inversion is playing a part in that effect. http://weather.uwyo.edu/cgi-bin/soun...712&STNM=03238 for the 12Z ascent. It shows 13.6C up at 1351m. -- Mike posted to uk.sci.weather 07/11/2003 13:43:16 UTC Coleraine Seeking information about the Internet and the way it works? - Subscribe to news:uk.net.beginners |

But I'm fairly sure this will be approaching or indeed will be the warmest November day in the central lowlands in my lifetime? (albeit a mere 30 years). Cooling quickly now, but still a very respectable +15.8°C. |
