![]() A big thanks to all of you who have responded to my comments. I knew that we had not actually broken a record for November but I had a feeling that it was close, hence my comments. However, from what everyone has said including Philip Eden who is the expert on all of this then we are close - indeed quite close. As you have seen from Philip's reply that we are on 9.1C so far. The next couple of days will nudge that up but as we all know including myself that there is a lot of time left for all that to change ![]() happened in 1978 for example ![]() I must say that I feel quite sorry for the couple who suspect that their cat was killed by rats. No, that is not off topic at all. Well done for mentioning that. The high number of rats is largely due to the warmer weather and the observation and comments on this sort of thing is applied climatology and all that is relevant to this newsgroup. It was mentioned in the Cambridge Evening News in August that many rats had been seen and indeed rats were even seen running around in the children's play area by Jesus Green swimming pool. That is an appalling health hazard. If you are looking for a female kitten try Wood Green Animal shelter in Heydon near Royston. That is a big place. They are helpful in there and you should have no trouble in finding a kitten. I have 2 tabby cats which I got from there in 1998. I still have them now and they are wonderful cats ![]() Regards -- ************************************************** ************************** ************************************************** * Gavin Staples. website updated regularly www.gavinstaples.com Currently writing book titled: Contemporary Societies East and West.
