I know this weekend that the web servers are being shunted about, but I
found this odd: Anyone else getting this on trying to access the Met Office web site? If I use www.metoffice.com, I get re-directed to:- http://www.spacereg.com/df.html?www.metoffice.com If I use the old address: .. http://www.met-office.gov.uk/ its OK! -- Martin Rowley |

![]() John.home (Mid Hants) wrote in message ... The URL works fine for me - try cleaning your cache, This is the advisory on the page to which you are redirected: Haven't done item 2, have cleared cache etc. Looks like an NTL problem, as when I connect via Demon, I have no problems. " Check domain parking It appears that the domain name www.metoffice.com is incorrectly being redirected to our domain parking page. This is probably due to a fault in the domain name resolution used by your computer. Causes could be: * Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be experiencing a technical fault with their DNS cache. * You have installed an internet optimiser or accelerator that has broken your computers DNS resolver." |

Don't forget you can also access the site directly via the IP address
and thereby work around any temporary DNS problems. I'm showing the metoffice site on: http://151.170.240.7/ John Dann |
