High pressure (1020mb) lies to the southwest of Spain, with another large high (1040mb) towards Siberia. Winds across the country are mostly moderate to fresh south/southwesterlies. Rain is likely to move in from the southwest. Temperatures will be close to normal. Into next weekend and conditions remain rather unsettled but pressure remains high to the east, and builds in the Atlantic. Winds across the UK are light to moderate south/southwesterlies. Most parts will see a dry start before rain moves in from the west. 850hPa temperatures range from -1C in the east to +5C in the southwest. Forecast 2m temperatures range from +8C in the north and east to +10C in the southwest. Beyond this most parts remain mostly unsettled during next weekend.
