Default 12Z Model Run Summary - Tuesday 25th November 2003

Low pressure (975mb) lies to the east of Iceland, with various
secondary lows in its circulation, including one developing to the
southwest of Ireland. High pressure (1020mb) lies to the southwest of
Spain, with a high (1025mb) building in the Atlantic, and with another
large high (1045mb) towards Siberia. Winds across the country are
mostly moderate to fresh south/southwesterlies. Rain will move in from
the southwest. Temperatures will be close to normal. Into next weekend
and conditions remain rather unsettled over the UK but pressure
remains high to the east, and builds in the Atlantic.

low developing over Ireland. High pressure (1025mb) is centred in the
Atlantic, with another high (1040mb) over Siberia. Winds across the UK
are moderate to fresh south/southwesterlies. Most parts will see rain
moving in from the west. 850hPa temperatures range from 0C in the
northeast to +6C in the southwest. Forecast 2m temperatures range from
+8C in the northeast to +12C in the southwest. Beyond this most parts
remain mostly unsettled, but pressure tries to build into the south
later.

another high (1025mb) in the western Atlantic. Winds across the UK are
moderate to fresh southwesterlies. Most parts will see a fine and
chilly start before rain moves in from the west. Temperatures will be
close to normal.

Summary:
Another unsettled weekend lies ahead with further rain and quite
strong wnds at times. Into next week there are hints that high
pressure may begin to influence our weather more, but this is a long
way off.
