Default 12Z Model Summary - Thursday 27th November 2003

Low pressure (985mb) lies to the east/northeast of Iceland. Another
low (1000mb) lies over Southeast England. High pressure (1030mb) lies
in the Atlantic, and with another large high (1035mb) over Russia.
Winds across the country are mostly light to moderate
north/northeasterlies. Many areas will see showers, with more
persistant rain in the southeast. Temperatures will be close to
normal. As we head through next week low pressure remains close to the
southeast bringing rain or showers here, but turning drier elsewhere
as high pressure tries to build in.

moderate southwesterlies. Most parts will see rain or showers.
Temperatures will be close to normal.

Summary:
Remaining unsettled into next week, with the possibility of a rather
wet spell in the southeast as low pressure lies close by for a couple
of days. Towards the end of the week there are signs that high
pressure will begin to take over, but there is not full agreement on
this.
