Large area of cloud associated with the depression north of Scotland covers
most of Britain with embedded convective clouds over NW England and the
south of Scotland. Sharp frontal boundary runs north to south through
England. Brighter in Ireland - except the north - and Wales and SW
England. Cloud moving into SW Belgium but much of the Netherlands is still
fairly bright.

Rain has reached Ireland and western Britain by Saturday morning and becomes
extensive and heavy at times over Scotland and the north of Ireland by
midday. Main rain band has cleared eastern England by mid-afternoon but
the rain continues over Scotland into the evening, only moving away to the
NE in the late evening.
