High pressure (1035mb) lies over most of the UK. Low pressure (1005mb)
lies close to southwest Spain, with another low (975mb) to the north
of Scandinavia. Winds across the country are mostly light and variable
in direction. Many parts will be mainly dry with some sunny spells,
but overnight fog and frost are possible. Temperatures will be close
to normal. As we head through into the weekend pressure remains high
across the country, bringing settled conditions but with fog a
possible problem. The high also shows signs of ridging towards the
Greenland area.

High pressure (1034mb) lies in the Atlantic, just to the west of

low (975mb) to the east of Iceland. Winds across the UK are light to
moderate northeasterlies, lightest in the north. Most parts will be

Summary:
High pressure looks set to dominate for the forseeable future, and
bring a lot of dry and settled weather to the UK. Cloud amounts are
not clear, but where cloud breaks occur, fog will become a problem.
Over the weekend, high pressure looks set to ridge towards Greenland,
and a cold plunge will sweep south across Scandinavia and into Eastern
Europe.
