Good afternoon everyone.
The charts for the end of this week are suggesting that the anticyclone over the british isles should have an ideal orientation to permit a plunge of extremely cold air masses southwards towards the Balkans. No details can yet be forecast, but it is highly likely that much of the country should turn white for a while:-) Yannis, SE Athens +12.6C, RH 66%, SLP 1025.5 hPa |

Yannis writes about "extremely cold air masses over The alkans" -- and as far as I know the Balkans still are part of SE-Europe? So here's to next weekends Greek snow-pictures :-))) Wijke |

It did, very briefly, until I saw who had posted it! Whoops! Sorry for any inconvenience! But an anticyclone stalling over the British Isles and then moving towards any reasonable direction (ie eastwards/southeastwards) would only be able to give white joy to eastern Europe, right? Wijke, I hope I make it to any place with a decent snow cover and hence show you the pictures you're anticipating! I'm not too sure it's going to snow at THIS site.
