My Comment:

No wonder we hardly see snow now. Just look how they
have gone up. Interesting thing is though the 1920s had the highest average
so far. so there is not an obvious trend. Even in the 1730s it was 4.52. So
perhaps we will have to wait another 10 year or so and then things may cool
down a bit
