Default Bye bye logo ... in Bracknell

For those Bracknellphobes amongst you, you may like the following
website...

http://www.trousers.co.uk/bracknell/

Being an ex-Great Hollands resident myself, the sooner the nuke the
place, the better! I guess Bracknell Forest BC are in panic mode at
the moment, considering how many companies have moved out
recently....? Just let me move out of Slough before they nuke that
too....

Seen this lunchtime ... (or rather *not* seen), the giant 'new-style'
Met Office wavy logo has now come down from the 'Met Office roundabout'
end of Napier Shaw (either yesterday or this morning).

All these changes; the roundabout will have to change, 'Weather Way'
re-named?; the Travelodge re-branded!!!

Apart from some of the newer red-brick stuff, I guess the rest of the buildings
will go the way of Bracknell town centre and be razed to the ground and rebuilt.
Some nasty 50s and 60s architecture rightfully removed.

They can then start on Great Hollands.

From the site:

"Famous visitors to Bracknell have included Sean Connery, Derek Nimmo, Siouxsie
and the Banshees and Queen Victoria. The Sovereign once stopped at a Bracknell
inn to change her horses. Although she never actually got out of the coach,
left very quickly and never came back, Bracknell people are tremendously proud
of their place in British history provided by this event, and still commemorate
it today."

In the 70s, when I lived in Bracknell, I saw this black Rolls parked just by the
station. I looked in the back tinted window and Elizabeth Taylor looked out at
me.

She was there whilst Richard Burton was filming the British gangster flick
"Villain". The film showed all the attractions of Bracknell, including what was
then ICL, and also the famous concrete helical ramp at the bottom end of the
High St.
