Hi..
I've been wondering all day what mechanism was been relied on to produce that forecast veer in the wind which would bring the showers inland from the coast. Pressure rises have been sigificant but generally so uniform that the direction has remained a steady northerly. Perhaps we shall have to rely on minor troughs in the airflow, such as that affecting extreme east Yorks, Lincs and Norfolk to produce anything significant away from the coastal strip. But they may be correct, the veer might occur, and I might find a white scene when I wake tomorrow ??? Goodnight John... -- York, North Yorkshire. (Norman Virus Protected) |
