Does anyone know of a site which shows weather reports back to at least 1966
for London? In particular I'm interested in finding out what the weather
was in London on July 21st 1966?

Many thanks,

Gavin

What time on July the 21st 1966? Please specify if allowances need to be
made for British Summer Time. I believe there was some kerfuffle about
that in those days.

Dear Gavin,

The day in question was an improving day from an overcast 19th and 20th with
rain at times. On the 19th the max was only around 15C. The 21st gave some
rain [2mm] in the morning but brightened up PM with 4.8 hrs of sun and a max
of19C and min 12C. Better still on the 22nd with 21C as a max. The synoptic
situation was a high to the north west and low over the near continent
gradually retreating away. It was a situation that a number of the news
group would love to see at the moment for in winter it can bring cold or
very cold conditions with a lot of sleet and snow showers to the South east.
