Default Another wet end to the month

Here in Christchurch, having returned home after Christmas to find the rain
gauge almost overflowing

58.7mm from 6pm on the 22nd to 6pm on 29th
(nearly half the rain is estimated to have fallen today)

making a total of 129.5mm or nearly 150% of the average for December.

The year that looked dry will not be, yearly rainfall now at 108% and with
further rain to come Wed/Thurs, both Dec and 2004 will be wetter than
average..
