If you get sweet clear skies that are just too beautiful and the next
day it is grey skies with greyish blue striations showing through from
what might be orographic waves close above, you may expect snow as soon
as it warms a little.

For a snow spell to be long lasting you need the phase of the moon to
run from something like 5 or 17 hundred to 7 or 19 hundred.

As a case in point although it isn't snow and it isn't daylight (though
of course it is still sunny somewhere) and it ain't windy too neither,
it
is late evening and it is warmer and it just got that way a short while
back....

And it is raining.
