Looking at the latest Bracknell blend charts out to T+72 I wonder if there
is now some doubt on how far east tomorrow's occlusion and behind it the milder Atlantic air will get. Could be very a interesting New Years eve. Alan -- Wirral, Merseyside. 53.2N 3.0W 40m amsl http://www.wirralcam.com/ |

Things look very interesting the other side of the North Sea from Thursday
Evening onwards, and if things slowed down from the west The South-East and East Anglia could see some significant snowfall. However, on most occasions it stay's the other side of the North Sea. Tom Danbury, Essex (107m) |

Agreed. If current models are 'fairly' correct it looks like we will just
miss out in the SE. Whatever, it was only going ever to be a temporary thing, it would seem. ---------------------------------------------------------- "Tom" wrote in message ... Looking at the latest Bracknell blend charts snip Is that Bracknell, Devon ??! .... if it's right, it'll be Exeter; if it's wrong it'll be Bracknell. ![]() Is that Bracknell, Devon ??! :-) Jon. Sorry Jon "Looking at the latest Exeter charts" :-) it still looks very interesting to see how far east the milder air will reach today before it is forced back west again, best regards, Alan -- Wirral, Merseyside. 53.2N 3.0W 40m amsl http://www.wirralcam.com/ |

It would be interesting to know how different the various forecasts would have been during the two big winters of the last Century if todays computer models had been running then. I wonder if with todays models, there would have been anything like as many failed thaw forecasts as there were then? Could be an interesting evening and day tomorrow. Temp in Malvern this morning -1, ground frozen but no 'white' frost. -- Pete Please take my dog out twice to e-mail --------------------------------------------------------------- The views expressed above are entirely those of the writer and do not represent the views, policy or understanding of any other person or official body. --------------------------------------------------------------- |
