Some recent Essex temps from online stations (times in brackets) -02.4C Danbury (19.36) -01.7C Epping (19.32) -01.3C Bishop's Stortford (19.28) -00.4C Witham (19.29) -00.3C Southend-on-Sea (19.31) -00.3C Andrewsfield (19.00) +03.0C Walton-on-Naze (19.00) Tom Danbury, Essex (107m) VERY USEFUL! Thanks Tom! Looks like my reading of -0.7C Rayleigh (19:50) is about right. Do you have the URLs of those weather stations? The moon is shining through a layer of high cloud. It's impossible to tell whether it's the back end of the front moving west or the forward end of the front moving east........ Brendan.
I agree with Jon, As here in Basildon my readings were slightly higher than the others, due to the fact we are in a town and buildings give off heat. Think of the centre of London as an example, Most winters are comparitively frost free for that very reason, so don't worry about what seem to be abnormally high readings. Its quite normal. Best regards. Len. "Jon O Rourke" wrote in message news:800313429121ebf93a7aaa10d98a9c95.62236@mygate .mailgate.org... "Brendan DJ Murphy" wrote in message snip At18:50 I'm reading -0.5C. Why are other people reading much lower temps? My sensor in the wrong place? My readout display is not accurate? Or perhaps the most obvious answer.... Perhaps its simply not that cold yet here in Rayleigh. Brendan I'd go for answer 3. Your reading looks like it's in the right ball park.
