Default [WR] Howhill 3rd Jan

Gentle sugar dusting of fine snow falling as I type. Only settling on
the colder surfaces like the cars and exposed concrete. Road (gritted
twice today) is black.

Temp 0.3C, wind F4/F5 SSW'ly.

To warm here, rose from 1.6c at 1700hrs to over 3.8c at 2300hrs, it was
never going to do anything - 0.2mm of rain recorded this morning

2cm overnight here (Copley), further east. The 14cm depth from the New
Year fall had gone down to 4cm, so now up to 6cm. Low overnight
was -1.1C.

1100Z S 16kn (force 4) screen 1.3C

25 miles SE from here and what a difference that 25 miles makes.

Didn't actually make 0C according to the WM918 external sensor but
0.1C is probably pushing the accuracy beyound its limit...

A grey damp misty day today. Only bright spots are the remnants of the
New Year drifts. B-)
