English Channel. Some cloud over central Scotland, from the Irish Sea
through the Midlands to East Anglia and in west Wales and SW England.
Heavy showers to the NW of Scotland and over Ireland. Frontal cloud covers
Belgium and the southern half of the Netherlands.

Two rain areas move east over Britain during Monday night - one moving along
the Channel coast and another stretching from central Scotland to south
Wales. Areas of showers follow - especially in northern England and
Scotland with snow on high ground. Some showers continue in NW England on
Tuesday with widespread showers reaching Ireland and western Scotland by
midday. Showers also develop in Wales and western England in the
afternoon.
