Hi Phil,

It doesn't bring freezing rain to my mind, more of sleet/snow. Again
with such slack gradients the lowering of the freezing level looks very
likely. Given the current track, slightly inconsistent over the last few runs,
it may keep some SE'erners happy !

Joe,

I believe 'Near Feezing Rain' is a meteorological term for either rain or
snow - its too difficult to predict. Not 'Freezing rain' as in
precipitation.

Mind you its a long time since I did my Met module on the ATC course!

I am, Phil, not sure what I've done to deserve it ;-)
Certainly the potential for a wintry mix if the frontal zone gets far enough
east to engage the cold air properly before slipping south.

Hopefully we won't see the dreaded freezing rain.

Jon.
