Is it possible to import diagrams into Powerpoint AND enlarge them? It
seems it must be very difficult. Why do we so often have to have a figure copied across media and displayed occupying 1/4 or less of the available page? Perhaps we could tell the green dots from the yellow ones then. Anyway, today's standard was pretty good. Rodney, yes, a good meeting that would have been of interest to most on this NG (there goes a plug for the RMetS and thereby the circulation of Weather!). Re. Powerpoint, there is no reason figures cannot be larger, though Excel graphs tend to lose a bit of formatting in the transfer and I have been known to hide such diagrams (i.e. keep them a bit small). However, there is a trend to put too much information onto a single page and a rather crowded, busy look results. It could just be something to do with how time-consuming it is to produce such presentations....(though if MO staff have them designed for them then they do not have that excuse). I thought that Martin Beniston's use of animation was some of the best I have seen. PS I assumed that you were one of the roving microphone attendants!
