Default Sunshine shortage this month

This has been mentioned a few times recently. Here's the
national pictu

Sunshine 1st-23rd:
E & W 29h (54% of norm for whole of Jan)
Scotland 19h (47%)
N.Ireland 27h (54%)

At individual stations:
Aviemore (KZ) 7.3h
Eskdalemuir (CS) 13.8h (31%)
Eskdalemuir (KZ) 11.0h
Scarborough (CS) 10.4h (21%)
Buxton (??) 11.2h (53% ??)
Carmoney (nr.Derry) 12.1h (23%)

[CS = Campbell Stokes recorder, KZ = electronic
sensor]

Although I have no figures to back this up, I can advise that here in SE
Lincolnshire every Sunday so far this month has been sunny.....just an
observation...
