Just had a call from a colleague who is driving from Inverness to
Aberdeen and it had started snowing heavily at about 16:30 - she would
have been 40-50 miles from Aberdeen at the time.

In case anyone asks - we have legal hands-free kits in the cars so she
was *not* breaking the law.

Here in East Fife it is remarkably still at round level (tips of
branches not moving etc.) but the clouds are romping across from the
north. As the sun set their underneaths were tinged bright pink.
