Basking in a lovely day here on the S. Wales coast.

Much as predicted. Temp at 12:30 is 6.8 and humidity a pleasant 59%

Us and Penzance together then!

Malvern not far behind at 5C. Patchy Cu, otherwise sunny. Can't see much
snow settling if anything happens later, the ground will be far too warm.

It was like that here, this morning. It has now clouded over and, about
15 minutes ago, started to snow. Small flakes and not very many of them.
Nothing laying (yet).

Thanks Howard - things could be more interesting tonight looking at the
last radar pictures. Let us know how it goes if you have a moment.

Cheers,
James

I will follow up to this thread if anything interesting happens. The
earlier snow was only a shower that lasted about 45 minutes. Nothing laid.

The temperature is now dropping and is currently 0.7C. If you are right
about tonight, it will have a better chance to lay.

There have now been a couple of light showers and a light covering of
snow. Temp. 0.6C

No more snow overnight. The Black Mountain should perhaps be called the
Speckled Mountain. :-)

Thanks Howard - still a possibility later today, but it is turning out
exactly as I predicted for the S. West - troughs pull the wind round to
the west, draw in the warm air off the sea which has higher than average
temperatures, and this is what we get! There might just be a sting in
the tail - but not much tail left - we didn't even get a frost here last
night - current temperature approaching 4 degrees now!

Our overnight minimum was -2.6C but has now risen to 4.1C, similar to
"down there" on the Welsh Riviera. I don't know about winds from the SW,
our wind is currently varying between East and South, averaging about
5mph. It has clouded over in the last hour.
