Default [WR] 1cm snow, north Kent

I'm currently writing today's model analysis and the weather outside
couldn't be more different to that shown on the T+120 charts.

There's light snow, being blown horizontally by the strong NNW'ly wind, with
an air temperature of 0.6C. Strangely enough, the snow that fell around 3:30
this morning has melted a fair bit already, despite temperatures not going
above 0.7C. Whatever happens, though, at least I've seen lying and falling
snow again this year!

Temperature at Holbeach St Matthew, SE Lincs now MS3.5C - the wind is a
fresh NNW'ly - the snow has drifted quite a bit in the last couple of
hours..

No fresh snow, so still 13CM lying snow, drifts a couple of feet deep in
places

Here in Warden Bay we had less than 1cm snow cover. Its now almost 7:30 and
most of the snow has melted. Current temp is 0.7c. At 5am the temp was
1.4c. The wind is stronger here than I was expecting, I thought the strong
winds were being reserved for the North?

Warden Bay, nr Leysdown-on-Sea, Isle-of-Sheppey, North Kent.
2M ASL.
