Most messages I've ever seen on this newsgroup when I logged on tonight from
late yesterday(560).
Has there been some bad weather? :-)

Well, it could have happened very easily tonight, if we had given up the idea
of going hone after having taken two hours to cover 400 yards. We did
consider abandoning the car and walking back to sleep in the office.

Alan,

I think you could be right (tongue in cheek !!). A clear, frosty and
bitterly cold Rossendale. Air temperature -2.4C coupled with a 15kt NNW
wind. Wide cover of snow, 3cm depth following the action of today's troughs
embedded in the Airctic Air.

I guess that's just about it for this cold interlude. Expecting temperatures
to be on the rise from tomorrow.
