Default Amazing Day

Started off with snow from around 8am to 10.30, giving about 2cm of lying
snow

Most of this melted away until about 2.30, then rain at first, quickly
turned to snow at around 2.45pm with a clap of thunder and flash of
lightening, didn't see whether it was fork or sheet.

Snow finally stopped at around 4.30pm giving around 4cm, and turning icy

Default Amazing Day

Hello

Yes, just as I thought we were missing out in the "soft south" as
usual, on Wednesday, the wind got up; then, we had thunder, lightening
and hail turning to snow. All within the space of ten minutes from
just after 17:30h. The snow continued until about 18:15h but the
temperature continued dropping rapidly after the sky cleared. During
Wednesday afternoon and evening, I recorded relatively rapid changes
in temperature, pressure and relative humidity (see below) The snow
has yet to melt and register as precipitation in my rain gauge,
though.

Time
13:47 5.3C 63% RH 1003 millibars(falling from 1007mb AM)
16:49 5.1C 65% RH 999
17:37 3.3C 75% 998 thunder, lightening, hail, snow
18:01 0.9C 92% 1000 snow settling
18:17 0.7C 96% 1001 snow stopping
19:03 -0.3C 92 1002
19:32 -1.4C 88 1003
19:56 -2.0C 89 1003 sky clear, moon out
20:31 -2.5C 89 1004
21:11 -3.0C 89 1004
21:35 -3.2C 88 1004

For the rest of the evening, the temperature stayed at around -3.2C. I
expected the temperature to fall further overnight, as it was clear.
However, it rose slightly overnight to -2.1C at 6:45h on Thursday
morning. It stayed below freezing until after 9.15am.
